MANNED SEWER ENTRY INSPECTION
Manned entry inspection has been around since the time that the first large sewers were built. It has been the method that provides the greatest detail on sewers, greater that 60″.
With CCTV cameras, lighting has been difficult to achieve in high enough intensity-for-effect images. If heavy debris is present, cleaning must be required for tractor mounted cameras. The traditional result has been to “walk” the line with adequate lighting and safety equipment. Safety concerns and excessive manpower are drawbacks associated with this type of inspection.
Since inception Tele-Vac has suffered no time-loss accidents. Tele-Vac employs a health and safety program developed specifically for our Team of highly-trained professionals. We have a drug free work place program – and all of our employees are trained in CPR, First Aid, Fire Protection, and “Confined Space”(CSE)
Many jobs require entry into enclosed spaces with limited air movement. These spaces can be hazardous for human entry. A “confined space” is generally defined as: any area which has limited means of egress; or, has an oxygen deficient / enriched atmosphere, or has the potential for the accumulation of flammable or toxic gases or vapors.
Among the more dangerous work environments in municipalities, industries, and utilities, are confined spaces. Tele-Vac uses Hi-Definition digital cameras with adequate lighting, All our technicians are PACP and LACP certified and code all defects. The information is then installed into our NASSCO approved software (POSM).
